A Springdale woman’s body was found near her car and purse in Eastern Oklahoma, a spokesperson with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation told 40/29 News. Ava Moore, 82, was last seen in Springdale shortly after noon on October 20 at Spring Meadows Apartments. A Silver Alert was issued for her Friday.On Sunday, a hunter found Ava Moore’s purse in the rural area of Oklahoma, about 20 minutes west of Siloam Springs and about an hour west of Springdale.Moore’s car was then found a short distance away, with no one inside.Springdale detectives searched the area along with other members of law enforcement.The body of a woman was found a short distance away from the vehicle Monday, according to Lt. Jeff Taylor with the Springdale Police Dept.Moore’s daughter, Lisa Delagardelle, told 40/29 News she can’t make sense of the death.”It’s terrible, it’s a nightmare,” she said. “Who takes an 80-year-old woman, drives her to Kansas, Oklahoma, and burns her car? And it was for nothing.””She was on Social Security,” she continued. “She didn’t have any money, she didn’t have any cash, she didn’t have anything. She had a car and that was the only thing worth any money and they burnt that to a crisp.”The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating along with the Springdale Police Department.
